Is it just me or have you noticed that many of your friends are trying their best to leave 2019 behind yet, it keeps following them into the new year? So much hurt and pain, it’s hard to know what to do. How to support them. Or is it? Maybe it’s not as hard as we think. Today’s tip is all about how to step in and embrace this mess we call life.
Life is messy. Dirty. Painful. It hurts.
Sometimes, it hurts more than we feel we can handle. Often times it's not even our own mess we are called to be a part of.
We see our friends hurting. We watch a loved one struggle. We pray. We lie awake at night, sad and confused wondering what in the world we can do.
Be there. Go to them. That is our calling.
Our mission is to willingly walk into the mess just like Jesus would.
Yes, it's easier to turn and run.
Yes, it's more comfortable to head back to our everyday life and pretend everything is ok.
But it's not ok. They need you.
They don't need answers or expect you to fix them.
They just need you.
Your ears to listen.
Your arms to hold them.
Your heart to love them.
So, walk into the mess sweet friend.
Don't be afraid. God's got this.
He knows what He's doing by using you.
He put you there for a reason.
He will give you what you need.
Just trust and walk in.
Until next time, be well friends!
